The FW190 has been for the past several years the most requested WW2 fighter for us to add to our line. No wonder; for sheer character few aircraft come close. One of aviation history's true masterpieces, the FW190 has always translated well as an RC model, and in 1/5 scale it is simply magnificent, both to admire on the ground and to handle in flight.
Any version from the A-5 thru A-9, F or G series can be made from the kit. Our prototype above, the top Scale Masters airplane of 1985, is built as an A-8. Either the later (blown) canopy shown, or the more common "flat" canopy is available.
Using our normal strong but light wood structure, balance is not a problem and the model does not need the two to four pounds of nose weight required by glass-and-foam kits.
